Your Physical Therapy
Who will be providing my treatment?
All treatment at JeeCee is provided by experienced physical therapists. We employ no aides or assistants, which mean you, will always be seen one-on-one by a physical therapist throughout your treatment.Â
Will I be seen by more than one physical therapist?
Your physical therapy treatment will normally be provided by one physical therapist. However, some of our physical therapists provide specialized treatment, and your physical therapist may recommend that you receive treatment from one of our specialists if he or she thinks that you will benefit from that care.
Do I need to see my physician before I can receive physical therapy?
Direct Access allows you to be evaluated and treated by a licensed physical therapist in without a prescription or referral from a physician.  But for major and severe cases, physician’s recommendation is needed.
Will my therapist communicate with my physician regarding my treatment?
Yes, your physical therapist will work closely with your referring physician and send him or her regular progress reports regarding your treatment. Please inform your physical therapist if there any other health care providers you would like to involve in your plan of care.
What treatment will I receive?
The treatment that you will receive will depend on the physical therapist’s findings during your initial evaluation and your plan of care. Your treatment plan may incorporate a variety of complementary interventions that include, for example, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, Pilates, and trigger point dry needling. If your physical therapist thinks that you would benefit from services provided by complementary health care providers, he or she will discuss these treatment options with you.Â
What are the benefits of physical therapy care?
Physical therapy is a holistic approach to relieving pain, restoring function and movement, and preventing further problems. Physical therapists do not just provide temporary relief of your symptoms—they also educate you about your problem and use a combination of techniques to provide you with a long-term solution to your pain and discomfort.Â

- Comfortable clothing (we can provide shorts, t-shirts, and gowns)
- Completed new patient paperwork (if accessed online)
- MRI results, x-rays, or other reports that would help your physical therapist learn more about your condition
What happens during my therapy appointment?
At your initial appointment, your therapist will evaluate you and work with you to establish a program of care that will enable you to quickly begin your recovery and meet agreed-on goals. You will learn about the cause of any pain, discomfort, or functional limitations and your treatment options. During your initial evaluation (and any follow-up appointments), you will always have the opportunity to ask any questions concerning your treatment and progress.Â
How long will my therapy appointment last?
Your initial visit will last 60 minutes. Subsequent visits are typically 30 minutes long. During each appointment, you will be seen one-on-one by an experienced physical therapist in a private treatment room.
How often will I need to come to therapy?
Your therapist will be able to tell you after your first appointment. At that time, the therapist will be better able to evaluate your needs and set up an appropriate schedule to ensure a safe and effective recovery. (If there are specific days and times you prefer to receive your treatment, we recommend that you schedule your appointments as far in advance as possible so that you can get the appointment times you desire.)
How many appointments will I need?
At your initial appointment, your therapist and you will develop a plan of care. This plan of care will give you an indication of the number of visits that you will need in order to meet your goals. At every follow-up appointment, your progress and treatment will be reassessed and treatment plan revised accordingly.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Please remember that an appointment means that we have reserved that time especially for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice so that another patient may be treated at that time.
